The Project Manager at Turner is responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day management of construction projects. This role requires a proactive approach to developing high-performance teams through effective supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. The Project Manager will ensure that regular feedback is provided to staff, including the timely completion of employee performance appraisals. A key aspect of this position is managing and developing assigned staff to maximize their job performance and career potential, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. In addition to team management, the Project Manager will be tasked with developing and improving client relationships, establishing a status as a trusted advisor. This involves a thorough understanding and administration of Turner's contract and subcontract agreements, as well as providing leadership to positively influence change within the organization. The Project Manager will also promote Turner's involvement in the community, helping to build strategic relationships and embrace the local community. The role includes establishing, updating, and communicating the Master Project Schedule, managing its implementation, and working with the preconstruction team in project development. Financial management is crucial, as the Project Manager will oversee budget and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to project budgets through interpretation and analysis of reports. Additionally, the Project Manager will manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program and provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions. Compliance with Turner's business ethics and compliance programs is essential, as is demonstrating a high standard of personal accountability and integrity. The Project Manager will mentor staff to uphold these standards and manage field operations and engineering processes. Safety protocols must be enforced by the project staff, and the Project Manager will work closely with Finance to initiate the Pay Application process, ensuring timely payment. Regular communication with management regarding project progress and budget adherence is expected through Operations Review Meetings. The Project Manager will also support and drive the utilization of various Turner initiatives, promoting the use of emerging technologies and innovations to maintain a sustainable competitive advantage.
