About the position

Brailsford and Dunlavey is seeking a highly skilled project manager to lead implementation activities for large-scale municipal, K-12, and higher education programs in Monterey, California. The role involves managing a project team, ensuring project goals are met in terms of schedule, budget, and quality, while fostering a collaborative and diverse work environment. The project manager will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, overseeing significant project assignments and contributing to the company's growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a project team in implementation activities for large-scale programs.
  • Manage a portfolio of assignments, ensuring achievement of project goals for schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Develop client deliverables including reports, presentations, budgets, and schedules tailored to client needs.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of project staff, both internal and external, to achieve project objectives.
  • Participate in staff development, mentoring, and training, providing input on performance reviews.
  • Direct monthly client billings and ensure timely collection of receivables.
  • Engage in business development activities, serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Participate in quality assurance/quality control and training programs for continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to the company's growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, economics, finance, urban planning, real estate management, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years managing projects related to B&D's markets.
  • Experience with school and DSA projects required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Professional experience in program management/construction management preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent team and project leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent group facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
