About the position

The Project Manager position at Cornell Cookson involves overseeing various projects related to the manufacturing of commercial and grille doors. The role focuses on managing customer requests, ensuring accurate pricing and specifications, coordinating installation dates, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers. The Project Manager is expected to deliver projects on time and within company performance expectations while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire jobs to bid through existing customer requests and open bid market requests.
  • Respond to inquiries by reviewing blueprints and product specifications, and issuing timely quotations.
  • Acknowledge and enter orders, ensuring accuracy in costing, pricing, and delivery times.
  • Review contracts and work with customers to agree on changes.
  • Track projects post-order entry to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any issues.
  • Coordinate installation dates with installers and customers.
  • Verify project completion and ensure receipt of completed checklists from installers.
  • Prepare and send project information reports to customers as requested.
  • Maintain accurate job information in Navision and update job cards regularly.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of Cornell Storefront's product line to offer competitive products to customers.
  • Foster harmonious working relations with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.

Requirements

  • 3 - 4 years of prior customer service experience.
  • Good interpersonal, management, motivation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead a team.
  • Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
