About the position

The Project Manager at Venergy Group LLC is responsible for overseeing the construction and renovation of buildings and structures across various sectors, including government, commercial, and private projects. This role involves planning, budgeting, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant guidelines. The Project Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, manages resources, and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with engineers, architects, etc. to determine project specifications.
  • Negotiates contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
  • Obtains permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
  • Determines needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Monitors and manages project budgets on all sites.
  • Directs, trains, supervises, and manages all Project Engineering functions (RFIs, Submittals, Document Control, etc.).
  • Plans all construction operations and schedules intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Acquires and monitors equipment and materials on multiple work sites.
  • Hires subcontractors and other staff and allocates responsibilities.
  • Evaluates progress and prepares detailed reports for clients.
  • Ensures adherence to all health and safety standards and documents any issues.
  • Provides adequate resources and staffing to meet safety needs, regulations, and project schedules.
  • Performs risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Develops and oversees quality standards on all sites.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or four years of vocational education.
  • State Certification and Licensing (PMP, CGC, CPM, or PE) preferred.
  • Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certificate preferred.
  • Ten years or more experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent.
  • Experience working with Veterans Affairs Hospitals or on Government Projects.
  • Competency in architecture, structural, and/or MEP systems.
  • Proven working experience in Project Management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficiency in Pro-core or other construction software is desirable.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification (Required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior military experience preferred.
