About the position

As a Project Manager at Vopak, you will play a crucial role in supporting the USA and Canada Business Unit's expansion projects. This position involves applying Vopak's standards and governance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with internal, local, and national regulations. You will provide expert project management advice for both greenfield and brownfield expansion projects, contributing to significant social themes such as energy security and energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Support the USA and Canada Business Unit's expansion projects throughout the different VPM stages.
• Apply Vopak standards, Repeatable Formula, and Project Controls in accordance with regulations.
• Provide sound project management advice for green & brownfield expansion projects.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and project schedules at various FEL levels.
• Implement project controls to monitor scope changes and manage documentation.
• Manage contracting and contract strategies, including risk modeling and quantitative risk analysis.
• Ensure compliance with permits and regulatory requirements throughout project development.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Chemical) or equivalent.
• More than 12 years of relevant project experience.
• Proficient in English and good knowledge of Spanish (spoken, read & write).
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and GSheets.
• Knowledge of MS Projects - P6 is a big plus.
• Experience with cost estimating and CAD software utilization.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on results, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to lead teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in construction safety and management.
• Familiarity with industry standards and practices (e.g., API, NFPA, PIANC).
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas terminal operations and various contracting strategies.
