About the position

The Environmental Project Manager is responsible for providing regulatory support and coordination with environmental agencies while managing multiple projects efficiently. This role involves project planning, resource management, budgeting, and interaction with stakeholders, including regulatory agencies. The manager will oversee project teams engaged in environmental assessments, habitat evaluations, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory support and coordination with environmental agencies.
  • Manage multiple projects in a time and cost-efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement project budgets at inception.
  • Prepare bids, proposals, work plans, or statements of work.
  • Compile and process all project-related data, including daily logs and field data sheets.
  • Prepare reports and documents to satisfy client and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage assigned projects, including planning, budgeting, and invoicing.
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing clients through communication and meetings.
  • Supervise personnel working on assigned projects and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Act as a liaison with federal and state regulatory personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years' work experience in a related field.
  • Prior project manager experience, preferably 1 to 4 years.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, MS Word).
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients, employees, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (minimum 50 pounds) and work outside in various weather conditions.

Nice-to-haves
