About the position

The Project Manager at Williams Homes is responsible for overseeing all phases of project development, from securing necessary engineering plans and permits to managing budgets and schedules. This role requires coordination with various consultants and ensuring compliance with building and safety codes, ultimately contributing to the successful delivery of homes and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage budgets, schedules, negotiations, and control costs associated with each project.
  • Manage the planning and analysis of conceptual design issues and preconstruction activities.
  • Coordinate and process grading permits, improvement plans, and execute subdivision agreements and improvement bonds.
  • Manage a team of consultants including civil engineers, landscape architects, and land use attorneys.
  • Assist with due diligence and feasibility of new projects, including contributing to consultant and fee budgets.
  • Prepare and manage presentations at agency public hearings.
  • Schedule and manage horizontal construction and land development operations with the field construction team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, Construction Management, or a similar discipline.
  • 5+ years of prior experience in project management, civil engineering, architecture, or public planning.
  • Solid understanding of urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, real estate, and land development principles.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Projects, Bluebeam, and other general computer software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project scheduling using MS Projects.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
