About the position

The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to achieve cost, quality, customer satisfaction, and timing objectives in the design and construction of automated assembly systems, tooling weld lines, and conveyors. This role involves managing multiple projects concurrently, overseeing budgets, and ensuring effective communication across departments to facilitate project execution and address any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Oversee automation projects from concept through design, manufacturing, and installation.
• Handle budget oversight on assigned projects.
• Communicate departmental execution with respect to budget and timing goals.
• Provide platforms for discussions regarding proposals for new tools and integrations with existing systems.
• Communicate open issue priorities and facilitate closure of open issues.
• Manage project changes and ensure proper techniques in rearranging schedule, costs, or scope.
• Ensure all project changes are communicated accurately to relevant departments (Engineering, Purchasing, etc.).
• Develop detailed project plans and ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Travel locally and long-distance to customer sites for field checks when needed.
• Perform other functions as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Program Management.
• PMP Certification is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Project is required.
• Experience in automotive with a tier one supplier is a plus.
• Experience working in a team-based environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and how these systems interact.
• Strong understanding of processes, budgets, and full responsibility of all programs in relation to project management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
