About the position

The Project Manager at Southern Integrated Solutions and Consulting is responsible for leading and overseeing various projects within the sectors of oil & gas, utilities, manufacturing, and mining. This role focuses on developing work plans, managing project teams, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager will also be tasked with maintaining client relationships and fostering a collaborative project environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through construction, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Lead the planning, execution, delivery, and closing out of projects.
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources.
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
  • Report/present project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative project environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Perform critical path analysis to identify key project milestones and dependencies.
  • Conduct project reviews and lessons learned analysis during project closure.
  • Prepare project documentation and final reports.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed and accepted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
  • 5 years of project management experience in industrial electrical, automation, or construction projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation processes.
  • Experience in risk assessment, change management, and contract administration.
  • Ability to analyze technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams effectively.
  • High level of organizational efficiency and time management.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
