About the position

The Project Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of The Development Group's portfolio of projects, which includes grants and construction-related initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to identify grant opportunities, manage budgets, and ensure timely project delivery while maintaining effective communication with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with COO to identify grant opportunities that support TDG's vision
  • Collaborate with COO and CAO to identify and develop budget requirements for grants
  • Work with Grant Consultant on submitting grant applications
  • Prepare grant reimbursement requests with the Grant Consultant including assembling all necessary supporting materials and documents and report to the COO
  • Provide Grant Consultant with documentation as required for grant reporting/grant monitoring
  • Develop and maintain a system to monitor Grant reporting requirements and ensure timelines and obligations are being tracked and met
  • Maintain library of grant support documents including resumes, bios, IRS forms, board/staff list, etc.
  • Assist COO in the planning, coordinating and managing of all phases of construction projects
  • Engage with consultants on various phases of construction projects, including architects, engineers, construction management
  • Monitor construction progress including reporting issues to the COO and carrying out any actions for resolving issues and implementing solutions as directed by the COO
  • Collaborate with COO with developing and managing project schedules, budgets and resources to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery
  • Maintain an understanding of procurement processes, including bid evaluation, RFQ/RFP requirements
  • Collaborate with COO on RFQ/RFP development and monitor any current RFQ/RFP's
  • Conduct regular site visits to construction projects
  • Provide property management oversight including regular property visits of IDA-owned property
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and foster strong working relationships
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status to COO
  • Develop and implement grants tracking system and construction project tracking system and maintain those systems
  • Read site plans and legal descriptions using the Geographic Information System, maps and map scales, to interpret data
  • Develop knowledge of The Development Group's procurement policies
  • Collaborate with COO to evaluate the esthetics, safety and operations of the Business Park
  • Develop a relationship and maintain communication with stakeholders in the Business Park
  • Serve as the Public Records custodian for the organization
  • Maintain public records for the organization in accordance with Florida law as it relates to the production and preservation of public records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field or extensive experience in economic development, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in project management or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
