GARNEY CONSTRUCTION is seeking a Project Manager for a position in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience specifically in the water and waste-water construction industry. This role involves overseeing various aspects of project management, including cost management, scheduling, and maintaining strong relationships with owners and stakeholders. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing job site supervisory personnel, ensuring that safety expectations are met, and negotiating contracts and materials. The position requires a proactive approach to managing project costs and labor projections, as well as the ability to enforce safety standards on-site. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Managing cost and 'Work In Progress' projections.
• Managing job site supervisory personnel.
• Planning and scheduling the project.
• Developing and maintaining owner relations.
• Negotiating and purchasing materials.
• Establishing and enforcing job site safety expectations.
• Managing project costs.
• Overseeing labor projections.
• Contract negotiation and administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of construction experience.
