About the position

The Project Manager role at Flatiron Construction Corp involves overseeing a single project contract, ensuring compliance with budget, personnel, and production schedules according to Owner expectations and company standards. This position is critical in managing all aspects of the project, from construction to financial management, while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of the project, including construction, budget, and cash management for a single assigned project.
  • Develops and manages the project schedule, pay estimates, project procedures, staffing requirements, and equipment resources needed for timely project production.
  • Assesses initial project contract and supporting documents for completeness and resolves specification, contract conflict, and scheduling issues with the owner.
  • Coordinates with project personnel to update the project construction schedule and adjust for change orders.
  • Creates and presents monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports to Flatiron leadership.
  • Develops internal and external working relationships with supporting departments and project Owner to support the project work plan and payment schedule.
  • Reviews and approves all internal and external media news releases regarding the project.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for all third-party stakeholders, including landowners, local business owners, and government agencies.
  • Facilitates project safety reviews and procedures by conducting daily and weekly safety checks at the project site.
  • Coordinates with project superintendent to identify staffing and equipment needs for efficient project production.
  • Collaborates with internal legal counsel to resolve any project disputes.
  • Leads project closeout procedures, finalizing contract paperwork, obtaining retainages, and resolving any project claims.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in construction, engineering, or scheduling required.
  • Experience in managing personnel required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and retain positive working relationships.
  • Ability to identify, track, and manage project risk effectively.
  • Developing ability to delegate task-driven responsibilities to project personnel.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
