About the position

The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate projects within the Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Preparedness Consortium, ensuring that program goals are met within budget and schedule constraints. This role involves collaboration with government entities and requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage project activities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control projects and team members to accomplish program goals.
  • Review program and project contracts/agreements to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Establish project budget/schedule baselines and maintain regular budget/schedule forecasts.
  • Develop statements of work (SOW) and ensure revision control is maintained through the approval process.
  • Manage risks and participate actively in problem-solving within the project team.
  • Coordinate technology transfers/transitions for assigned projects.
  • Track project scope, budget, and schedule using Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Review invoices for accuracy and evaluate cost variances.
  • Prepare technical and financial reports for review and submission to senior management.
  • Plan and facilitate program team meetings, both on-site and virtually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and four or more related years of experience, or a Master's degree and two or more years of related experience.
  • Experience in Engineering, Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Manufacturing or Process Engineering experience, ideally in the biomedical domain.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentations and technical report writing.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and proficiency in MS Office Suite, PowerBI, and Project.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with Government programs and/or working in multi-organizational teams.
  • Ability to travel to conferences and meetings, with infrequent weekend travel.
