About the position

As a Project Manager at Spirit Construction Services, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in leading industrial construction and manufacturing projects from inception to completion. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget constraints. This involves acquiring necessary resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors, and consultants to ensure that projects are delivered according to the established plan. You will define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with the company's goals and client expectations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives. You will develop comprehensive project plans and associated communication documents, effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner. Your ability to liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis will be crucial for maintaining alignment and addressing any concerns that may arise. You will be responsible for estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, drafting and submitting budget proposals, and recommending necessary budget changes. Setting and managing project expectations with team members and stakeholders will be a key part of your role, as will identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team. You will track project milestones and deliverables, develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations, and proactively manage changes in project scope while devising contingency plans for potential crises. This position requires biweekly travel to project sites during weekdays, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in your work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related Industrial Construction field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in a similar role.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management methodologies, including scheduling and earned value management.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
