About the position

The Enterprise Project Manager at Wellstar Health System is responsible for overseeing the development, management, and implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives. This role focuses on managing the organization's EPIC and Data Governance projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. The Project Manager will collaborate with leadership and team members to develop project plans, manage resources, and resolve issues, while also providing both administrative and strategic support to various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, management, and implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Manage the organization's EPIC and Data Governance related projects from implementation to ongoing management.
  • Hold project stakeholders accountable for delivering projects on time and within scope/budget.
  • Assist in problem solving and issue resolution for project-related challenges.
  • Lead multiple project workstreams for various clients and engagement teams.
  • Provide administrative and tactical management of projects from beginning to end.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, managing changes throughout the project duration.
  • Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, including vendor management.
  • Develop project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Understand and communicate stakeholder requirements to team members, managing all requirements accordingly.
  • Establish clear ownership for project tasks and ensure team members have necessary tools and feedback.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Track progress and review project tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Arrange training as needed for project team members.
  • Provide advisory and consultative skills to project needs and initiatives.
  • Schedule and host regular status meetings with stakeholders, keeping their needs in view.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members.
  • Identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
  • Build and grow business relationships vital to project success.
  • Assist in operational and improvement projects as required.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Facilitate policies and procedures during the project to meet deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in industrial/management engineering preferred.
  • PMP certification required upon hire.
  • Minimum 3 years in a project manager role.
  • Minimum 3 years working within or leading a Data Governance process.
  • Experience in a health care system environment preferred.
  • Consulting experience required.
  • Intermediate or better competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of relational database structures and concepts.
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, team building, and communication skills.
