About the position

The position requires a skilled cybersecurity professional with a strong background in penetration testing and security analysis. The candidate will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in systems and applications, conducting penetration tests, and providing recommendations for security improvements. Responsibilities

  • Project Penetration testing in the UDN and Cloud environment.
  • Perform static and dynamic application security testing.
  • Simulate cyberattacks: Use hacking tools and techniques to perform attacks on a company's systems, networks, or applications.
  • Identify vulnerabilities: Find gaps in security that hackers could exploit.
  • Document actions: Create a report on what you did and how successfully you breached security protocols.
  • Advise on security improvements: Suggest ways to fix or lower security risks to systems.
  • Train users: Provide training to users to minimize future security risks.
  • Assess physical security: Evaluate the security of network hardware devices and server systems physically.
  • Participate in project meetings, coordinate security testing, and perform static and dynamic Project Penetration testing in the UDN and Cloud environment.

Requirements

  • Industry standard cybersecurity certifications such as Ethical Hacking certification, certifications from SANS, ISC2, etc.
  • Ability to fulfill all job responsibilities of penetration tester.
  • Ability to analyze malware/exploits through forensics, observation of network traffic and using other tools and resources to determine if PG&E systems are vulnerable.
  • Research and write in-depth reports and advisories on security risks to employees and operations.
  • Expert in network security, vulnerability assessment, web application security, operating system knowledge, scripting, report writing, communication, social engineering, and a deep understanding of different network components and hacking techniques.
