The Project Coordinator at the University of California, Davis, plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Institute's research projects. Under the direction of the Director of Programs and in close collaboration with the Research Program Manager, this position is responsible for promoting operational cohesiveness, functionality, and effective communication both internally and externally. The Project Coordinator will facilitate and coordinate efforts among various stakeholders, providing operational support as needed to the Justin Siegel Lab. This role is essential in ensuring that research projects run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the Institute's mission. Key responsibilities include project coordination with both internal and external partners, developing comprehensive project timelines, organizing meetings, and generating regular progress reports. The Project Coordinator will also participate in research efforts, supporting graduate students, post-doctoral scholars, and collaborating scientists on innovative research projects. Additionally, maintaining lab reagent inventory and standard operating procedures documentation is a critical aspect of this role. The Project Coordinator must be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, working independently, and prioritizing deliverables to meet critical deadlines.
