About the position

As a Project Portfolio Coordinator at ABB in Westerville, Ohio, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative services and secretarial assistance at both the organizational and business levels. This position is integral to the Process Automation Process Industries division, which serves various sectors including mining, metals processing, and pulp and paper. Your daily responsibilities will involve performing complex administrative tasks that require a high level of expertise and ownership in delivering specific business processes and programs. The work model for this role is onsite/hybrid, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work. In this role, you will assist a business manager with all relevant administration tasks. This includes conducting research, compiling and verifying information, and creating special reports, presentations, organization charts, correspondence, and other relevant documents. You will ensure that knowledge and information are shared effectively to keep all stakeholders informed and up to date. Additionally, you will act as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, assessing the urgency of issues and initiating appropriate actions. Your responsibilities will also extend to arranging business-critical internal and external events. This includes organizing travel, developing itineraries, booking accommodations, registering for conferences, and coordinating with visiting speakers. Your ability to manage these tasks efficiently will be essential in supporting the operations of the division and ensuring smooth communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting a business/business manager in all business-relevant administration tasks.
  • Conducting research, compiling, verifying information, and creating special reports and presentations.
  • Ensuring sharing of knowledge and information to keep others informed and up to date.
  • Acting as the point of contact for internal/external inquiries via phone and email.
  • Assessing the urgency of issues and initiating appropriate action.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and 2+ years of related experience or High School Diploma and 4+ years of related experience required.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the US.
