About the position

The CFPMO is seeking an experienced financial management professional to serve as a Project Portfolio Financial Consultant. This role involves overseeing and managing the financial forecasting and reporting processes for MassMutual's Corporate Functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial objectives. The consultant will work closely with various teams to enhance financial management processes and report on financial health and performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and run the financial forecasting and reporting process for the Corporate Functions.
• Own the development, implementation, and monitoring of project budgets.
• Ensure budgetary requirements are maintained and enforced across the Corporate Function project portfolio.
• Collaborate with Strategic Planning & Delivery on reporting and tracking for projects funded by the transformation budget.
• Prepare and refine financial projections in collaboration with department heads and project leads.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance financial management processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Report financial health and performance to leadership and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience with financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience or expertise.
• Proficient with project management and financial tracking tools, MS Office Suite, and corporate forecasting systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in wealth management and/or insurance industry sectors, ideally supporting corporate functions.
• Finance-related Certification (ie, CFP, CPA, CFA, etc.) a plus.
• Experience with process improvement.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
