About the position

The Project Portfolio Financials Consultant will play a crucial role in the newly established CFPMO at MassMutual, focusing on financial management across various corporate functions. This position involves overseeing financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The consultant will collaborate with senior leadership and project teams to enhance financial management practices and report on financial health and performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and run the financial forecasting and reporting process for Corporate Functions.
• Own the development, implementation, and monitoring of project budgets.
• Ensure budgetary requirements are maintained and enforced across the Corporate Function project portfolio.
• Collaborate with Strategic Planning & Delivery on reporting and tracking for projects funded by the transformation budget.
• Prepare and refine financial projections in collaboration with department heads and project leads.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance financial management processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Report financial health and performance to leadership and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience with financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience or expertise.
• Ability to travel between Boston, MA and Springfield, MA as needed.

• Proficient with project management and financial tracking tools, MS Office Suite, and corporate forecasting systems.
• Finance-related Certification (i.e., CFP, CPA, CFA, etc.) a plus.
