About the position

The Project/Program Manager III at EITACIES is responsible for managing small to medium-sized projects with a focus on achieving clear outcomes under the guidance of a State supervisor or manager. This role requires advanced project management skills to handle complex and high-risk projects that align with state government priorities. The individual will apply project management principles from the PMBOK, oversee project budgets and schedules, and ensure adherence to standards while coordinating resources and communications effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage small to medium-sized projects under the direction of a State supervisor or manager.
• Apply project management principles and techniques as defined in the PMBOK.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines, reporting on progress and status deliverables.
• Full responsibility for scope management, configuration management, and change control issues logs.
• Coordinate and oversee all project resources including IS technical staff, customers, and contract personnel.
• Ensure adherence to project management, development, testing, and documentation standards of the ISD division.
• Coordinate the implementation of applications with the assigned LSA.
• Manage resource allocation and project team capacity to ensure project work is accomplished.
• Facilitate project communications and regular 'stand up' project meetings.
• Control and monitor all outsourced tasks.

Requirements

• Successful project management experience with small scope, limited risk, and complexity projects.
• Ability to manage projects with clear, achievable outcomes.
• Mastery of project management skills, qualifications, and experience for complex projects.
• Comfortable working with high levels of state government.
• Skills in statewide project portfolio management and IT Investment Management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in project support on larger projects.
• Familiarity with project controller responsibilities.
