About the position

The Administrative Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Dean of Liberal Arts by conducting research, analyzing data, and coordinating various administrative activities. This position involves managing classroom schedules, overseeing project activities, and providing IT support, all while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the HSS building liaison.
  • Schedule all classes per semester for the 45 HSS classrooms.
  • Schedule meetings in HSS as requested by individuals from across campus.
  • Manage keys and electronic key boxes per department in HSS.
  • Review safety procedures, update, and communicate changes to building users.
  • Maintain the IED machine.
  • Provide general IT troubleshooting to support faculty.
  • Maintain HSS Digital Signage.
  • Perform receptionist duties for the Dean's Office.
  • Serve as back-up for initiating travel, requisitions, and budget transfers.
  • Review the PRT calendar and remind the Dean and Chairs of PRT deadlines.
  • Type and produce PRT letters, submit to AAR, and transmit to faculty.
  • Facilitate PRT College Committee workflow.
  • Type, produce, and send various donor letters.
  • Transmit official communication to CLAC faculty on behalf of the Dean's Office.
  • Supervise student workers and provide professional office training.
  • Take meeting minutes as requested by the Dean.
  • Collect conflict of interest forms from departments.
  • Maintain the college website.
  • Help coordinate college events.
  • Maintain the Dean's and Associate Dean's calendars and schedule meetings for them.
  • Maintain official college committee rosters.
  • Collect and transmit official documents to the Registrar's Office.
  • Order plaques and certificates for college award winners for the College Honors Ceremony.
  • Advertise and promote college events.
  • Maintain personnel files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in public administration, general business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of planning, research, and analysis techniques and procedures.
  • Knowledge of department operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to plan and execute systems and organizational analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Ability to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews.
  • Ability to research, prepare, and present comprehensive written and oral reports.
  • Ability to organize and conduct meetings and workshops.
