About the position

The Project/Program Manager III will manage small-scope projects with limited risk and complexity, typically under the direction of a state supervisor or manager. This role involves applying project management principles from the PMBOK to ensure adherence to project standards, managing budgets, schedules, and resources, and facilitating project communications to achieve clear outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Apply project management principles and techniques (PMBOK) to manage small-scope projects or assist in supporting larger, more complex projects.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and timelines while ensuring all deliverables are met on time.
  • Full responsibility for scope management, configuration management, and change control, including managing issues logs, testing, verification, and validation of new systems.
  • Oversee project resources, including IS technical staff, customers, and contract personnel. Coordinate and manage resource allocation to ensure all project tasks are accomplished.
  • Facilitate project communications through regular 'stand-up' meetings and status updates, ensuring stakeholders are informed on project progress.
  • Ensure adherence to ISD's project management, development, testing, and documentation standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the assigned Local System Administrator (LSA) and ensure the smooth implementation of applications.
  • Control and monitor all outsourced tasks, ensuring successful integration and alignment with project goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing small-scope projects or providing project support on larger projects.
  • Strong familiarity with PMBOK project management principles and techniques.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and timelines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee project scope, configuration, change control, and testing processes.
  • Strong communication and team coordination abilities, with experience in leading project meetings and providing progress updates.
  • Familiarity with configuration management processes and standards.
