The Project/Program Manager V (Master) role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is designed as a hybrid position, requiring an average of 2-3 days per week in an HPE office. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing corporate, customer, and third-party vendor efforts to plan, sell, and implement solutions to customer problems. This role encompasses both business and team management responsibilities, establishing and maintaining the portfolio and project management environment based on established policies, standards, and customer engagement roadmaps. The Project Manager may operate as a member of an Engagement Program Management Office (EPMO) or as a business unit leader overseeing a portfolio of customer projects. The ideal candidate will possess unique mastery and recognized authority in relevant subject matter knowledge, including technologies, theories, and techniques. They will contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas, successfully operating in complex disciplines essential for the company's success. The role involves leading large, cross-division functional teams or projects that impact the organization's long-term goals and objectives, providing mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees, and exercising independent judgment in developing methods and criteria for achieving objectives. The Project Manager will also develop strategies and set functional policies and direction, acting as a functional manager within their area of expertise without managing other employees as a primary job function.
