About the position

The Project/Program Manager at BDI Bridge Diagnostics is responsible for overseeing engineering and field teams to ensure the successful delivery of technical and management reports across various projects. This role involves managing project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring client satisfaction. The position requires strong communication, leadership, and project management skills, with opportunities for career advancement to a Program Manager role based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget including logistical plans, client correspondence, project execution, field and reporting deadlines, invoicing, and AR follow-up for assigned projects.
  • Effectively communicate project status and milestone achievement with project team, Division Management, Company Management, and client.
  • Lead project scoping discussions with Clients and facilitate technical discussions.
  • Prepare and lead proposal efforts, including budgeting and evaluating staffing requirements.
  • Oversee the project from beginning to end, ensuring alignment with proposal, schedule, reporting, communication, and financials.
  • Collaborate on schedules, analysis, project deliverables, and best practices with other Project Managers.
  • Ensure all Job Hazard Analysis and company Safety Management requirements are met during project execution.
  • Supervise performance of all work to meet company quality control expectations.
  • Ensure financial controls are in place prior to project kick-off, in alignment with the approved budget and client expectations.
  • Prepare and oversee development of deliverables to client, ensuring all project completion and closeout documentation is compiled and submitted.
  • Work in unison with all company project managers to schedule field and report/analysis activities.
  • Support active sales initiatives with the business development team.
  • Delegate tasks using a coaching relationship for supervising the technical work of project staff.
  • Contribute to internal technical and project delivery training, mentoring, and managing junior staff.
  • Support the Division Manager in business continuity, growth initiatives, quality and safety standards, and staff development.
  • Coordinate with production and field crews to ensure adherence to BDI standards, including system design and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Manage staff working in various conditions and provide direct field support as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Project management experience in engineering services or civil construction.
  • Experience leading, managing, and developing personnel.
  • EIT and P.E. certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, planning, problem-solving, time management, prioritization, and delegation skills.
