About the position

The Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the crib team, manage crib relocation and storage plan projects, and ensure efficient material storage and disbursement processes. This role involves training and supervising crib attendants, managing safety processes, and resolving logistical issues related to material delivery and inventory accuracy. The Project Manager will also utilize Microsoft Teams and Excel for daily operations and report directly to the Crib Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day needs of crib team.
  • Support crib relocation and storage plan projects.
  • Develop, plan, and execute storage plan projects.
  • Develop, plan, and execute crib relocation projects.
  • Oversee crib attendant daily work.
  • Report performance evaluation information to Crib Manager and execute employee development plans.
  • Conduct routine performance discussions with crib attendants.
  • Train new crib attendants following the established training matrix.
  • Manage crib safety processes and report incidents to the Crib Manager.
  • Ensure training records for crane, order picker, and fork truck licensing are up to date.
  • Review standard work for accuracy and update as needed with Crib Manager.
  • Plan material storage including FIFO, bin location plans, pick efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
  • Resolve crib disbursement and receiving issues in a timely manner.
  • Resolve mis-directed delivery and paperwork receipt issues with suppliers.
  • Execute expedites and couriers for urgent crib material as needed.
  • Communicate and resolve requests and issues from shop personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related role.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of referential formulas such as VLookup.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills.
  • Excellent typing skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience with SQL queries and Microsoft Power Query.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools that utilize large data sets.
  • Forklift or other industrial vehicle experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.
