About the position

The Project Quality Coordinator at HDR, Inc. plays a vital supportive role in the Boston office, focusing on the facilitation of quality management processes. This position requires professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The coordinator will advocate for quality within the studio, assist project managers, and ensure adherence to corporate quality standards while fostering a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the local representative for the Quality Office and support the development and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Train and communicate to staff about the value and intent of quality management.
  • Prepare, assemble, and oversee reproduction of routine deliverable documents such as drawings, specifications, and design reports.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and provide administrative support to internal teams and external client meetings.
  • Maintain project files in accordance with corporate standards and project document control systems.
  • Provide guidance to Project Managers regarding the development of project plans.
  • Assist project managers in maintaining and updating project schedules and facilitating monthly project reviews.
  • Coordinate communication with multiple project team members, including those in other HDR offices and consultant offices.
  • Report studio QMS implementation and audit resolution strategies to the Managing Principal and Regional Quality Director.
  • Develop and update local studio processes to support QMS requirements.
  • Conduct quality assurance/quality control reviews and respond to staff questions related to QMS policies and procedures.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees regarding the HDR QMS.
  • Execute special assignments under the direction of Project Managers with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a closely related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A commitment to being an active participant in the employee-owned culture.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
