The Project Safety Manager for the EV Battery Factory in Jeffersonville, Ohio, plays a crucial role in fostering an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) within the organization. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan, ensuring that all safety protocols align with federal, state, and local regulations. The Project Safety Manager will generate weekly Total Case Incident Reports for large projects, which will be submitted to project leadership and management. This role requires leading incident and injury investigations in collaboration with Production leadership and providing support during weekly toolbox safety meetings. Additionally, the Project Safety Manager will monitor and audit compliance with safety standards and regulations for both Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) and its subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project safety requirements. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced safety professional, certified in OSHA 30, with a strong background in construction safety, particularly within the electrical industry. Familiarity with industry consensus standards such as NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI is essential. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to influence safety behaviors among team members. A commitment to safety as a core value is paramount, as the Project Safety Manager will be instrumental in supporting and evaluating the effectiveness of CEI's safety programs.
