Project Scheduler (Construction)

About the position

The Project Scheduler will be responsible for the planning and schedule management of construction projects within a construction management firm. This role involves utilizing Microsoft Project to ensure that project schedules are efficiently baselined and updated, while collaborating closely with project teams, trade partners, and consultants. The position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale projects that significantly impact the community, reporting directly to the Vice President of Field Operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and/or review of both pre-bid and post-award CPM schedules, per owner requirements.
• Assist project teams' development of project narratives based on production and budget information from personnel including project managers, superintendents, and estimating teams.
• Update Microsoft Project schedules with monthly activity progress through coordination with project teams.
• Coordinate with external Project Schedule Consultants on deadlines, revisions, and updates to current projects.
• Participate in schedule review meetings with project teams, estimating staff, and clients, and maintain meeting minutes.
• Assist with RFP and proposal schedule development for preconstruction and bid opportunities.
• Travel to project sites to assist project teams.

Requirements

• Experience in construction management with a focus on project scheduling.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Desire and ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to understand construction plans and specifications.
