The Project Services Business Development Manager at Clean Harbors is a pivotal role focused on the growth, expansion, and maintenance of a specific line of business. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers interested in contracting specific services or products. If a customer already has an assigned Account Manager, the Business Development Manager will act as a support specialist, ensuring that the relationship is nurtured and maintained effectively. The role requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, emphasizing the importance of understanding client needs and delivering exceptional service. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting revenue and margin growth by selling products and services to clients within your line of business (LOB). This includes negotiating and drafting contracts, scoping and quoting projects, and ensuring that all customer interactions are handled with professionalism and courtesy. You will also be tasked with promoting knowledge development and dissemination within your area of expertise, continually learning about the LOB and formalizing this knowledge for broader dissemination within the organization. Additionally, the Business Development Manager will support the training of other sales personnel in their LOB of expertise, send inputs, and review the sales budget for accounts under their responsibility. Developing account plans for important customers and monitoring progress in sales and P&L goals are also key responsibilities. Collaboration with other salespeople to increase cross-selling opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective contract and relationship management are essential aspects of this role. The position may also involve handling disputes and conflicts with clients, troubleshooting issues, and documenting necessary customer information and interactions. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
