About the position

The Project Services Coordinator role at COMPUTER HEAL involves processing case data and providing administrative support to ensure effective vocational rehabilitation services. This position requires direct interaction with customers to gather necessary information for eligibility determination and to assist in the vocational process. The coordinator will also engage in community outreach and support activities, making it essential to have strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Processes case data, including applications, eligibility data, Individualized Plans for Employment, case notes, case closures, and authorizations.
  • Works directly with customers to obtain referral information and implement procedures necessary for acquiring vocational, psychological, and medical diagnostics used in eligibility determination and the vocational process.
  • Completes Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) applications and assesses resource needs.
  • Conducts thorough searches for customers with lost contact through all means available (phone, email, text, snail mail, etc.).
  • Provides administrative support and/or technical assistance to professional staff, including processing data, answering correspondence, and obtaining routine technical reports to aid in casework completion and caseload management.
  • Documents activities in customer case records.
  • Responds to routine community inquiries and participates in community education, job fairs, and other assigned activities.
  • Conducts interviews with potential customers to explain vocational rehabilitation programs.
  • Assists in collecting diagnostic information for eligibility determination.
  • Schedules appointments for customers to meet with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors (VRCs) and helps maintain customer contact.
  • Reviews invoices from vendors, obtains counselor approval, and processes invoices through Support Staff.
  • Provides support as directed by the counselor.
  • Inputs casework data into relevant applications throughout the rehabilitation process and prepares documents, including authorizations and correspondence, as needed.
  • Expected to travel to local schools and other areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service field preferred, or an Associate's Degree with relevant classes and/or experience in psychology, social work, education, and/or special education accepted.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Good organizational skills.
