About the position

The Project Sr. Business Analyst - AVP plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business users and technologists, ensuring effective communication and understanding of business performance metrics. This position is integral to driving business transformation and meeting regulatory requirements within a dynamic, agile team environment. The analyst will contribute to continuous exploration and investigation of business performance to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals through partnership with decision makers, systems owners, and end users in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Work with technology operations and product colleagues to develop robust, stable, and scalable solutions with a focus on data-related developments.
• Analyze business processes, identify gaps in capabilities, and determine appropriate data sources and process changes needed to address these gaps.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and artifacts such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), User Stories, and process flows.
• Assist the Project Manager with coordination of release planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
• Filter, prioritize, and validate complex material from multiple sources and perform other assigned duties.
• Maintain awareness of product changes and system enhancements.
• Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and manage control issues transparently.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
• Proven interpersonal, diplomatic, and influencing skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain project- and data-related documentation.
• Data literacy.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous Custody Trade Settlements and Asset Servicing experience preferred.
• Preferable Agile/DevOps knowledge or experience.
