About the position

The Project Sr. Business Analyst - AVP plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business users and technologists, ensuring effective communication and understanding of business performance metrics. This position is integral to driving business transformation and meeting regulatory requirements within a dynamic, agile team environment. The analyst will contribute to continuous exploration and investigation of business performance to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals through partnership with decision makers, systems owners, and end users in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Work with technology operations and product colleagues to develop robust, stable, and scalable solutions with a focus on data-related developments.
• Analyze business processes, identify gaps in capabilities, and determine necessary data sources, interfaces, and process changes to address these gaps.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation and artifacts such as BRDs, User Stories, and process flows.
• Assist the Project Manager with the coordination of release planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
• Filter, prioritize, and validate complex material from multiple sources and perform other assigned duties.
• Maintain awareness of product changes and system enhancements.
• Assess risk when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and managing control issues transparently.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis.
• Data literacy and ability to work with larger datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
• Proven interpersonal, diplomatic, and influencing skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain project- and data-related documentation.
• Excellent understanding of SDLC.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous Custody Trade Settlements and Asset Servicing experience preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in Agile/DevOps methodologies.
• Good command of MS Office.
