About the position

The Project Structural Engineer at T.Y. Lin International will be responsible for working on various building projects, including commercial, institutional, and residential structures. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, preparing technical specifications, and ensuring project deliverables meet budget and schedule requirements. The engineer will also provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges and maintain a strong commitment to ethical practices and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Work on buildings projects of various types including commercial, institutional, and residential.
• Travel to project sites and meetings as needed.
• Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
• Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered.
• Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Prepare technical specification sections.
• Sign off and approve their own work.
• Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Conduct peer reviews and make technical presentations.
• Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• P.E license or eligibility to register is required.
• Experience in the execution of commercial, institutional, residential projects as a Structural Project Engineer preferred.
