About the position
The Project Superintendent at Croell, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of construction projects, particularly in the areas of highways and infrastructure. This full-time role requires travel and overtime during peak seasons, and it involves managing relationships with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The position reports to the Paving Division Manager and includes supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders and clients, teaching and coaching the team constructively.
- Ensure promptness and timeliness for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects.
- Familiarize with and adhere to the Company Handbook.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustive.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours and in poor weather conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all project safety and environmental requirements.
- Supervise personnel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and monitoring project progress.
- Coordinate with other departments and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.
- Understand federal and state contract requirements.
- Lead all construction processes and phasing on-site.
- Communicate professionally with the team, contractors, public officials, and owner representatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Project management experience with familiarity in construction materials and methods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- High level of reasoning abilities to meet deadlines and prioritize company and customer needs.
