About the position
The Commercial Roofing Project Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production of commercial roofing projects, ensuring safe and efficient operations from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead roofing field team of roofers.
- Provide guidance, instruction, and support throughout the production of roofing projects.
- Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of various commercial roofing systems, including flat roofs, metal roofs, and asphalt shingles.
- Effectively communicate roofing project status to Project Manager ensuring that the schedule and resources, including material supply are allocated effectively and roofing project deadlines are met.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure adherence to roofing safety regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, and Construction Director to ensure clear communication and successful roofing project outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including labor hours, materials used, and project progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a field supervisor in the Commercial Roofing industry or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of various roofing materials, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a roofing team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement timely solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of roofing safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Valid driver's license.
