About the position

The Project Supervisor will provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a variety of construction projects, specifically overseeing the construction of a new pre-fab metal building in New Caney, TX. This role involves coordinating junior superintendents and subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and monitoring project performance to meet budget and schedule requirements. The position is expected to last approximately 90 days, with potential for additional projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and coordinate junior superintendents and subcontractors' work activities.
  • Provide guidance for junior superintendents and monitor subcontractor personnel.
  • Ensure implementation of a safety program adhering to OSHA safety and record-keeping requirements.
  • Take lead on productivity issues and monitor work performance of employees and subcontractors.
  • Advise senior management of potential problems and assist in mitigating conflicts.
  • Contribute to the development of a project pre-plan including CPM schedule and manpower utilization.
  • Interface with owners, architects, and design professionals to ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Facilitate discovery and correction of contract document errors and omissions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external record-keeping requirements.
  • Use construction management systems for record-keeping tasks.
  • Provide liaison between project management, field engineering, and specialty contractors.
  • Train, motivate, and support subordinate employees.
  • Report progress back to the Site Manager/Project Manager.
  • Assure work is performed according to legal requirements.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of the airport construction industry, risk management, and field operations.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, scheduling, cost control, and quality control.
  • Working knowledge of company computer systems and software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and loss control measures.
