About the position

The Project Surveyor at McKim & Creed is responsible for the professional and technical production of survey projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves organizing technical production, directing fieldwork, and maintaining communication with project teams to meet schedules and budgets while providing responsive service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the professional and technical production of survey projects.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Organize technical production and direct fieldwork.
  • Conduct quality control checks on work produced.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams and clients.
  • Coordinate production to ensure all details are covered, budgets and schedules are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Florida PSM professional registration is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in geomatics.
  • Experience with Autocad Civil 3D is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills in surveying and geomatics.
  • Behavioral traits: process-oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, methodical, consistent, detail-oriented, and precise.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with field crews and CAD technicians.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Cleared criminal background check and drug test.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional surveying software or tools.
  • Leadership experience in project management.
