About the position

KPFF Survey is actively recruiting for a full-time Project Surveyor position in Portland, Oregon. This role is essential for our diverse range of projects, which include control, boundary, topographic, utility, ALTA, verification, and monitor surveying. As a Project Surveyor, you will be responsible for collecting field data using the latest survey-grade equipment, including conventional total stations, digital levels, GPS, 3D scanners, and drone lidar technology. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, landscape architects, developers, and public agencies, providing you with a dynamic work environment that can range from urban settings in downtown Portland to remote locations in eastern Oregon and beyond. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in survey project management or be a senior office technician seeking career advancement. You will lead a survey project team, ensuring that the survey products are delivered safely, accurately, and professionally. As an experienced and licensed individual, you will also mentor a survey team, guiding them on their career licensure paths. This includes analyzing and processing various data sets, drafting, managing projects, and preparing deliverables. While being licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Oregon is preferred, it is not a strict requirement, as we welcome candidates who are ready to sit for the exam. At KPFF, we pride ourselves on our commitment to personal and professional growth. Our Portland Civil + Survey office, which includes staff from Eugene and Washington DC, consists of 105 employees, including 41 Professional Engineers (PE) and 3 Professional Land Surveyors (PLS). We believe in fostering a supportive work environment with minimal organizational restrictions, allowing our team members to thrive in their roles.
