About the position

The Project Surveyor position at KPFF involves managing and executing various surveying projects, including control, boundary, topographic, utility, ALTA, verification, and monitor surveying. The role requires collaboration with engineers, architects, and public agencies, utilizing advanced survey equipment and technology. The successful candidate will lead a survey team, mentor junior staff, and ensure the delivery of accurate and professional survey products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute various surveying projects including control, boundary, topographic, utility, ALTA, verification, and monitor surveying.
  • Collect field data using advanced survey equipment such as total stations, digital levels, GPS, 3D scanners, and drone lidar technology.
  • Lead and mentor a survey project team to deliver accurate and professional survey products.
  • Analyze and process different sets of data, draft, manage projects, and prepare deliverables.
  • Build and maintain a client base.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of current experience in field data collection and processing in the surveying industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in drafting and data analysis in the surveying field.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management within the surveying field.
  • Familiarity with various surveying technologies and methodologies.
