About the position

As a Project Surveyor at Atwell, LLC, you will play a critical role in the success of our survey group, managing projects from start to finish in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. This position involves working on diverse project scopes in residential and commercial land development as well as renewable energy, allowing for skill growth and cross-marketing opportunities. You will collaborate with Project Managers to establish project scope, budgets, and schedules, while utilizing engineering software to ensure project completion within standards and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from start to finish in an entrepreneurial-style environment.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to establish project scope, budgets, staffing, and schedules.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments.
• Review survey field calculations and make necessary adjustments.
• Communicate effectively with internal staff, contractors, inspectors, and team leaders.
• Attend paid training and development events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in a relevant field.
• Mid-level experience in project planning and execution.
• Advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, and Data Collections.
• Prior experience with Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prior experience working in the field on a survey crew is highly preferred.
• LSIT or PLS certification is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with legal descriptions and plan interpretations.
• Familiarity with real estate documents.
