About the position

The Project Surveyor at Erdman Anthony & Associates Inc. is responsible for managing and coordinating surveying projects, providing guidance to technicians, and preparing various survey plans. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying principles and the ability to handle multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members including other business units
• Provide guidance and direction to surveying technicians
• Prepare Boundary and Topographic survey plans and agreements
• Perform survey computations and boundary resolution for Boundary and ALTA Surveys, and Topographic Surveys
• Prepare Construction Layout and As-Built Surveys, Right-of-Way Surveys, and various other project types

Requirements

• NY Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, or ability to obtain within one year
• 5+ years of professional surveying experience
• Bachelors degree in surveying, civil engineering or a related field
• Experience with Mapping software (Civil 3D, Carlson, inroads, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret design/construction plans
• Ability to manage multiple projects and project teams
• Develop project scope and fee estimating
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Maintain a current drivers license in good standing and able to operate company owned vehicles
• Attention to detail
• Work independently
