About the position

The Project / System Integration Engineer at Parry Labs serves as the primary customer-facing technical interface, requiring regular direct engagement with the customer at their site on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. This role is crucial in ensuring that the execution of projects aligns with cost, schedule, and technical requirements, thereby delivering high-quality products and services to the customer. The engineer will work closely with the Program Manager, taking charge of daily operations and providing technical insights and recommendations to senior leadership. This position demands a broad skill set that encompasses hardware and software integration, systems engineering, and testing, along with excellent organizational and communication abilities to effectively interact with all stakeholders throughout the program's lifecycle. The program supported by this role requires comprehensive software and hardware integration, testing, and demonstrations to meet mission requirements. The associated test program anticipates annual, episodic software-hardware integration tests and system ground/flight tests at various deployment locations. The ideal candidate will be based out of Dayton, OH, and will be instrumental in the integration of technologies that enhance the capabilities of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and other mission-critical platforms. In this role, the engineer will participate in on-site integration of software and hardware components, ensuring functional systems in Software/Hardware Integration Labs (SIL/HIL) as well as ground and flight test environments. The engineer will also interface with the customer Test and Evaluation (T&E) Integrated Product Team (IPT) and provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) analysis and inputs to the test report, supporting the documentation of processes and tools for future program-level integrations.

  • Document integration methods, processes, and tools to facilitate hosting on future non-specific sensor mission systems and aircraft.
  • Generate customer deliverables such as integration and test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Participate in IPTs and provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to enable accelerated software instantiations on existing and in-development unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
  • Participate in on-site integration of software and hardware components to achieve functional software and hardware systems in Software / Hardware Integration Labs (SIL/HIL) as well as ground and flight test environments.
