We're seeking a Technical Program Manager to bolster our team based in Chesapeake, VA. The ideal candidate will bring shipyard or design experience, guiding our team through challenging, high-paced projects. With several intricate design opportunities on the horizon, we require a skilled navigator to steer us through these ventures. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical knowledge to interdisciplinary teams supporting complex design projects from the concept design phase through to detailed design for production.
  • Develop technical specifications, analysis reports, calculations, and designs to meet specifications and regulatory body requirements (ABS/RINA/LR/ISO/USCG).
  • Coach, review, and delegate work to team members.
  • Develop status reports, technical reports, documentation, and high-level briefings.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of products such as analyses, calculations, and drawings.
  • Develop proposals, specifications, and cost estimates for G&G projects in response to client requests.
  • Interface with clients and the design team to control scope, budgets, and schedules.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Naval Architect or Marine Engineer, with a focus on high-speed and small craft design.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and industry-standard CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
