About the position

The Project Testing Coordinator at Coventek Inc. is responsible for overseeing the success of testing efforts within projects. This role involves coordinating and scheduling testing activities, advocating for quality, managing resources, and addressing issues that may hinder testing processes. The position primarily supports project leads by applying project management methodologies and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the testing effort by analyzing project requirements.
  • Estimate and obtain management support for time and resources needed for testing.
  • Work with Project Managers and Workstream Leads to assign testing resources to specific business processes.
  • Ensure all test scenarios are provided by Workstream leads.
  • Coordinate and follow up on the development of test scripts.
  • Ensure data is staged to support test scenarios and scripts.
  • Collaborate with workstream leads/resources to ensure accurate sequencing of testing steps.
  • Ensure test data is accurately identified and documented for each test script.
  • Ensure access to test environments and application security is completed for testing activities.
  • Arrange facilities and equipment requirements for testing.
  • Assign testing responsibilities to team members and ensure understanding of their tasks.
  • Document and maintain the content and structure of all testing documents/artifacts.
  • Implement, monitor, and enforce testing processes as per organizational standards.
  • Review test script documents and track testing outcomes.
  • Escalate testing results impacting project requirements to the Testing Manager.
  • Organize status meetings and send status reports.
  • Attend regular project team meetings to discuss weekly status.
  • Communicate with testing resources as needed.
  • Track and prepare reports on testing activities, including results, coverage, resources, defects, and performance baselines.
  • Review various reports prepared by testers and ensure timely delivery of testing milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of IT-related experience, or an Associate's degree in a related field and three years of IT-related experience.
  • Mid-level supervising experience.
  • Project management knowledge and skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with testing software and technology.
