About the position

The Activations Technician at Latino Media Network plays a crucial role in enhancing station branding through promotional activities for radio. This part-time freelance position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively engage with clients, listeners, and the public during various on-site events. The technician will collaborate with a team to execute special events and station appearances, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the preparation of activations and organization of inventory, station props, and equipment.
• Set up and break down radio station promotional activities including community events, branded station events, and concerts.
• Setup promotional items, banners, tables, tents, and sound equipment for remotes and special events.
• Conduct on-site contests, games, and other promotional activities as needed.
• Assist on-air talent and Sales Executives during events.
• Provide customer service by understanding client needs before and during events.
• Greet listeners and distribute prizes to winners.
• Support the Activations Manager with scheduling contests and social media posts.
• Assist with operational activities during weekends, including Board Op duties and connecting devices for broadcasts.
• Coordinate morning van hits and collaborate with DJs for promotions.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in social media management and customer service.
• Project coordination skills preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 5-70 lbs.
• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Previous experience in similar positions.

Nice-to-haves

• Photoshop and video editing skills are preferred.
• Some project coordination experience is preferred.
• Prior startup experience.
