About the position

Under the direction of the Promotions/Special Events Supervisor, the Promotions/Special Events Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service on the casino floor and at off-site events and promotions. This position requires a lively, dynamic, and engaging energy to enhance all promotions and special events, both on property and off-site, while representing San Manuel Casino. The representative plays a crucial role in ensuring that events are executed smoothly and that guests have a memorable experience. The essential duties include assisting in the set-up, execution, and breakdown of all on-site and off-site promotions and special events, which may include tournaments, drawings, VIP parties, and festivals. The representative must maintain a detailed knowledge of all promotions and special events to effectively explain policies and procedures to customers. Working collaboratively within a team is essential to ensure that all necessary items for promotions and events are in place and ready in a timely manner. Additionally, the representative is responsible for adhering to established policies and procedures for each promotion, issuing appropriate prizes to guests, and performing on stage if necessary, utilizing a microphone for announcements during drawings and events. Other duties may be assigned to support the efficient operation of the department, making adaptability and teamwork key components of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the set-up, execution, and breakdown of all on-site and off-site promotions and special events, including tournaments, drawings, VIP parties, and festivals.
  • Maintains a detailed knowledge of all promotions and special events to effectively explain policies and procedures to customers.
  • Works within a team to ensure that all items needed for promotions and special events are in the appropriate place in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to established policies and procedures for each promotion.
  • Issues appropriate prizes to guests.
  • Performs on stage if necessary while utilizing a microphone for announcements for drawings and/or events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a customer service environment required.
  • Must be able to clearly speak, read, and write in the English language.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must maintain good personal grooming habits and carry self in a professional business manner.
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company's insurance carrier.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event planning or coordination is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
