About the position

The Property Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day transactions and month-end close processes for a regional portfolio of up to 30 commercial real estate properties. This role requires collaboration with various internal stakeholders and functions, including Accounts Receivable, Lease Administration, and Fixed Assets accounting, to ensure accurate financial reporting and support for property management activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting transactions for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties.
• Monitor and manage month-end close processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Property Management and Financial Services.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Lease Administration functions.
• Provide relevant financial information and assistance as needed.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with auditing accruals and General Ledger.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel with V-Lookups and Pivot tables.
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with other teams.
