About the position
The Property Accountant role is focused on managing financial transactions and accounting processes related to residential properties. This position requires effective communication with Property Managers and a strong understanding of resident leases, ensuring accurate financial reporting and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with Property Managers and other stakeholders.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and property management teams.
- Analyze, prepare, and post correcting journal entries to the Resident Ledger as requested.
- Prepare and send final Statement of Deposit Accounting resident communication.
Requirements
- 2+ years of residential accounting experience highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- GED or High School diploma required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Yardi software (1 year preferred).
- 3 years of experience as a property accountant (required).
