About the position

The Glastonbury Housing Authority is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented part-time Property Administrative Assistant. This role is essential for supporting daily operations and ensuring effective communication with tenants and applicants. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones and addressing in-person tenant and applicant issues.
  • File documents and maintain organized records.
  • Conduct data entry and utilize computer software for various administrative functions, including Property Management software.
  • Keep daily lists of issues that need to be addressed for the agency property management programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a property management and/or affordable housing agency in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
  • Minimum requirement of an associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or additional education experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office applications is required.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a property management program is a plus.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly desirable for enhancing communication with diverse clients.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws is a plus.
